What do you think the chances are that your district system will have a cyber attack? How are you keeping your students "safe" in their use of technology? What's the foundation for quality digital citizenship? Beyond the "what" it's imperative we teach and empower the "why". Social and emotional attitudes and skills (SEL) are vital not only in the use of technology but as an effective tool to help students acquire and apply the knowledge, attitudes, and skills necessary to manage emotions, set and achieve positive goals, feel and show empathy for others, establish and maintain positive relationships, and make responsible decisions. This session will focus on how your work is vital to the development of strong social-emotional learning skills including supporting students who may be struggling with academics, social, emotional, or behavioral issues. Technology can help reach, engage, motivate, understand, and support students. Please join us as we take a look at SEL in the digital age.
