Have you seen the amazing work from the befores to the afters from Extreme Makeover Home Edition to the Today Show’s Ambush Makeovers? Well now you have your chance to participate in Extreme Lesson Makeover.  Just bring lessons or lesson ideas and work with your colleagues and me to change your lesson into an engaging lesson that you will enjoy teaching and students will love engaging in. Through this process, participants will learn how to use a tool that centers around the 4 big shifts (deeper learning, student agency, digital tools, and authenticity) that schools need to be focusing on.

Limited Capacity seats available

This past fall I took a leap and offered an Electronics and Programming club at our Middle School. I had many questions, can a Middle School student understand how to use and program an Arduino? Can they design circuits and programs that interact with the real world? The answer, is yes. This session will discuss my experience and how you can bring microcontrollers into your context. Participants will get started with microcontrollers in the online program Tinkercad.
